Here is the garage fully cleaned out and swept. I got the wall on the left free of everything.

This is the new molded carpet and spares. I got it from Stock Car Interiors. It is period correct 80/20 loop pile with a vinyl & jute backing. The molded carpet was $167, the extra carpet was $36 for a yard, the extra jute padding $30 for two yards. These guys do molded carpets for Datsun 510's also.

Gas can gravity feed for the carb.

I blocked the hood up a little and fed the hose through the gap. Yard driving with no seat in the car and a Hydra-matic transmission is an experience. Hydramatics go Park, Drive1, Drive 2, Drive 3, Drive 4, Reverse, so If you put it into what you think should be 'Low' it is really reverse. I also have the neutral safety switch disabled, so you can start it in gear...

Open garage. I use the junk rubber backed carpet to protect the floor.

Your's truly after jacking the beast up 18 inches front & rear.

Those jack stands are set on the front frame rails.

The rear is supported right on the trailing arms. This year Caddy used a GM 'X' frame, which is like two 'Y's front and rear tied together in the middle by the legs.
